What is the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund?

Starting October 26th, 2020, the federal government announced that small businesses in Canada could start applying for the Canada United Small Business Relief Fund. This fund seeks to provide small businesses with grants of up to $5,000.00 in order to cover the costs of PPE, make modifications to their business to meet local health and safety requirements and to enhance digital and e-commerce capabilities. This grant is above and beyond the pre-existing Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, Canada Emergency Business Account, the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistant and the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund.
